Should dealership website monitoring include vendor pages?
Yes. Follow your dealership’s exact link to its destination. Customers experience the handoff as part of your site.

A vendor ticket you can actually use
Vendor handoff check Starting page: [URL] Link label: [label] Expected destination: [URL and task] Actual destination: [URL] Tested: [date, device] Observed: [exact error] Working alternative: [route and result] Owners: [website and destination providers] Retest: [original route and outcome]
Start with the links shoppers see.
Parts, trade-in, financing, and appointment tools may live elsewhere. Build your list from the actual links on your pages, including older offers and mobile navigation.
Record the link label and final URL. A vendor’s main homepage is not your dealership’s specific destination.
Record the error before naming a cause.
An unavailable page, a wrong destination, and a security warning are different observations. Capture the exact message and time without bypassing warnings.
Share the same evidence with the website and destination providers. One failed connection does not establish the root cause or every affected customer.
Follow the whole route again.
A repaired vendor page can still sit behind an outdated dealership link. Retest from the original starting page through to the final destination.
Keep any working alternative in the ticket so the team can direct customers while the failed route is investigated.
